Although this group has a small membership as of the time of this writing, I'm hoping that it will grow in time and become a valuable resource. I look forward to lively discussion, intelligent debate, and hopefully sage advice.

Re: A brief introduction
Tue, November 25, 2003 - 6:34 PMI was until recently the CTO and Vice President of Engineering Services for an IT services company located in Los Angeles, CA. We specialized in large scale hardware and software integration, data network engineering, and a whole gambit of security related services. Our clients were largely public sector and included the LA Community College District, LA Unified School District, the LAPD, TRW, and Boeing. I think that your list of topics aligns closely with my own interests, although I would add to it:
-Security processes and procedures (especially in light of the emerging regulatory requirements i.e. HIPAA and the SOx Act.)
-General trends in technology management. -

Re: A brief introduction
Tue, November 25, 2003 - 7:42 PMI think there is a real need for this kind of community. At one time I participated in an organization for CIOs here in Florida, although time constraints make that difficult.
What are you doing now?
